A Couple New Adventures

     Well, I decided to take the leap into the blogging world!  I really enjoy reading various friends', home, kid, and style blogs and just keep telling myself that I will start my own for our family.  You may wonder about the title of the blog and think it's quite silly, but strawberry ice cream does have a special place in our family.  Travis grew up having strawberry ice cream as a treat with his dad and it's been a fun family treat for the three of us.  It has also been the best bribe to get Emery to eat her carrots :)  Also, I can't seem to get enough of the sweet stuff these days.  And Braum's has the best, in case you're wondering!  So here goes....I don't promise to be as interesting as some of the blogs I keep up with, but I figured it was a good way to let our friends and family know about our adventures.
     And speaking of adventures, Travis and I are happy to announce that we are expecting our second child in the fall...November 8th is the official due date!  I am right at 12 weeks and everything from the heartbeat to the measurement looks great.  Emery is beyond excited that there's a baby in mommy's tummy, and she has already told me that it's a baby sister :)  Since the first time she has held her baby dolls, she has been quite the little mother.  Giving the babies a pacifier, putting them to bed, trying to calm them down from crying, feeding them, changing their diapers, covering them with blankets.  And she just loves watching babies everywhere we go.  I think she'll be such a big help when this little one arrives!

     As for another adventure, we are set to close on a new house in Frisco on May 29th.  It's just a couple miles west of where we live now and is still close to all the things we do in the area.  We'll be on a cul-de-sac and across the street from a green belt, with walking distance to the park and elementary school.  We also were so blessed to quickly get a buyer for our current house and close on this one May 30th.  It turned out to be perfect timing.
