Our adventure to the Happiest place on earth...

The week before spring break, this family ventured to California to see some friends and meet all the princesses that Emery has been dreaming about for the past year and a half!!    While it was Owen's first airplane ride, it was Emery's fourth and she was a pro.  As long as she had the iPad to watch on the plane and some snacks in hand, she was good to go.  Owen had a bit of a rough time going and coming home simply because he was tired.  I've always been an extremely scheduled sleep mama, so I kinda knew it would be rough with napping on the plane.  Once Travis had a good grip on his flailing hands and legs, he cried out his excess energy and fell asleep in his arms:).

Walking along the pier after lunch.  We got lunch at a good seafood place, walked around and Emery played in the sand.  It was a cloudy day, but we were just glad it wasn't raining!  Southern California happened to get an unusual amount of rain the first three days we were there…of course!!  We visited Laguna Beach and Newport Beach.  Both were beautiful!

 

The sun came out!  We walked down to a beach area and Emery had fun trying to run from the waves!

After we spent three days with our friends, we headed to Disneyland.  Our first night there, we ate at a pizza restaurant in Downtown Disney and walked around before heading to our hotel.  Here are pictures from our time there…..Emery met almost all the princesses, got their autographs and pictures.  Travis even waited in a long line so that she could see Anna and Elsa from the movie Frozen!

We took a break from walking around and Emery decided that she was going to be princess Emery….each one of us took a turn "meeting" her getting our picture taken with her…funny girl:)  I think the princess thing finally went to her head:)

I'm so glad that we did this trip…Emery was the perfect age and it made it all worth it seeing her so excited to meet the princesses and see what Disneyland was all about!
