The Most Wonderful TIme of the Year

The Christmas season always arrives with open arms...I love everything about the time of year!  This year has been really special and fun.  We got to celebrate Owen's first Christmas along with the first time that Emery began to understand the reason for the season.  She knows that it is Jesus' birthday and was really disappointed when I put the Nativity Scene, along with baby Jesus, away until next year.  I got her her own Nativity Scene for her bedroom and she enjoyed looking at it each night before bed.  This year was also extra fun expecting the arrival of Santa and toys.  We also started the Elf on the Shelf...Emery named him Elmo.  She asked for a baby doll and a stroller from Santa....she sure enjoys playing with them!  She's also into Cinderella, so the Lego Duplo Cinderella castle from Gramma and Grandad was a hit!  We celebrated Emery's 3rd birthday with family in Tulsa and on January 3rd, we celebrated with her friends at Build-A-Bear.  Each of her friends got to make a teddy bear or puppy; and we ended the party at the food court with Chick-fil-a and birthday cake...strawberry of course:)  Here are some pictures from the past couple months.  Hoping I'll be better about posting so I don't have so many pictures at one time!

For the past two years, we've had a sugar cookie making Christmas party at our house, complete with Christmas jammies!
Owen and his friend Jackson...just 6 weeks apart
She sure does love a good cookie...she would live off sweets if we let her!
 The cuties in their jammies...adorable!

A picture of our sweet babies before Emery went to mothers day out one day
My friend Jenn makes the cutest personalized shirts!

Emery's Christmas program at school...they sang Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and some other songs!
Emery was so excited that she could see Daddy watching her program

Sweet friends looking so cute in their Christmas clothes
Ice cream party with her class after the program

It was a successful Christmas Eve mass with both kids!

Our silly girl dancing in some silly Christmas socks that Gramma gave her:)  We celebrated with our family in Tulsa Christmas night.
Blowing bubbles all the time!  He did so well traveling in the car...so blessed to have this calm, happy baby.
Emery got her first board game called the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel...it's perfect for Daddy's squirrel (as Travis likes to call her:)

Emery had quite the birthday celebrations...this is the matching outfit that Gramma and Grandad got for Emery and her bitty baby, Lucy.  The time we spent in Tulsa with my parents and sister and brother-in-law was so special.  Emery just loves the time she gets with them and lets her personality shine!!

New Year's Day....Aunt Chris, Uncle Charles, and Craig came down with my parents for the OSU bowl game
The first day of being 3 was kinda a rough day for sweet Emery, as you can probably tell in this picture...

 Such a big girl!

Emery's 3rd birthday was Owen's two month day!
Love these two!

Walked into the room to find Emery cuddling and reading to Owen...I just love this.

Yay for SNOW!!!
Just lasted long enough for a picture:)  It was so cold!
