In Like a Lion....when springtime, RSV, and the circus came to town

Even though it's spring, it sure has seemed like winter off and on lately.....the fact that there was a freeze for two nights not long ago seems crazy...pretty sure our garden that we planted a couple weekends ago didn't survive.  We'll for sure try again!  I have such great memories of seeing the fruits of my grandfather's labor in his garden and hope we can grow some yummy tomatoes and herbs!  Time has of course flown by the past couple months since my last post in January.  However, February was rather memorable and time seemed to stand still for about ten days.  Owen was diagnosed with RSV and an ear infection, all while Travis was out of town on a business trip for four long nights.  He thankfully was able to catch an early flight back home to help with the breathing treatments and everything else that comes with a sick baby.  I felt like I was living in a cave those ten days, hardly leaving the house and trying to take care of a sick family....yes everyone in our house ended up sick with the same nasty virus that Owen had.  It was awful and scary that Owen was so sick, but we survived!!!  We've been busy and are enjoying some fun things with the kids....Emery's first circus experience, some friends visiting from California, planting a vegetable garden, Emery starting soccer, and a visit to Gramma and Grandad's house...twice!!  One time was during their spring break and the other was a quick visit for Easter.  We're also looking forward to baptizing Owen Michael on April 21st at our church in McKinney.

Getting bigger and stronger everyday...doesn't mind tummy time now!

Some friends who live in California came to visit for a night.  This is their daughter Preslee and I taught with her mom here in TX!  Emery loves playing with her and really looks up to Preslee.

All smiles after bath time!

Owen's 3 month picture...and the sister that LOVES him!  Emery loves to make him smile, sing to him, read to him, comfort him.....and boss him around just a little...isn't that what a big sis is supposed to do?!!

Emery was so excited to share some lemonade with daddy and kettle corn with mommy at the circus

She doesn't look so sure here, but she did ride the "horsies"

There's a smile!

They absolutely adore each other.  Owen will crane his neck to see what Emery is doing!

This sad face doesn't happen much:)  Such a happy, easy-going baby!

All ready to go to her first soccer practice

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Doyles

Helping with our garden....pink princess gloves and a shovel, of course!

I took the kids to Tulsa for my parents' spring break and you can see it was so much fun!

We also got to meet my cousin's sweet new baby, Samantha Ann

Making some monster cookies...this might have to be a new tradition:)

Grandad and Owen Michael

Emery's first time dying Easter eggs was a success!

Going on an egg hunt in the house with real eggs...didn't lose one:)

Gramma and Owen Michael

LOVE this picture!  We sure are blessed!

Easter Sunday and Owen is 5 months old

These three mean the world to me

Owen's first Easter...next year he'll be running around with Emery hunting for eggs in the backyard:)
